Phoenix Senior Living broke ground on their new senior living community, The Colonial at Historic Camden. The construction project, located at 209 Broad Street, Camden, South Carolina will bring 100+ construction jobs to the area and when completed will employee 30+ people. The Colonial at Historic Camden, a one-story building will have 43 apartments – 26 for assisted living and 17 for those needing memory care in a secured neighborhood, designed specifically to care for seniors.
The Colonial at Historic Camden, with an opening anticipated to be in late 2019, will offer the seniors in the area and nearby communities service-enriched assisted living and state of the art memory care. The project’s architects and interior designers are creating an interior design that leverages natural lighting and common area space with easy access to outdoor patios and courtyards.
The building will also feature an assortment of spacious and beautifully appointed apartments, including studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments with an extensive variety of indoor spaces, including a bistro, full-service salon, movie theatre, restaurant style dining rooms, fully equipped fitness/physical therapy center as well as two interior courtyards allowing residents to enjoy natural light and fresh air. The exterior amenities also include a paved walking path around the community with garden resting spots conveniently located throughout the path.
