Meet Jackie Magnes, Executive Director
Jackie joined Phoenix Senior living with nineteen years of experience in the senior care industry. She began her journey in healthcare by volunteering her senior year in high school with a memory care community and fell in love with geriatric population, and began working there full-time as a caregiver the day after her high school graduation. In 2006, Jackie achieved her nursing degree and decided to move from her hometown of Chagrin Falls, Ohio to the great Charleston, South Carolina. From there, she grew into Director of Nursing roles, and in 2018 received her South Carolina Long Term Care administrator’s license.
Jackie’s experience working her way from a caregiver position to an Executive Director position has given her a better understanding of providing quality care, while supporting and encouraging team members. She believes that quality of life is not only about the individual’s experience, but families as well who are navigating the resident’s newfound sense of self.
When Jackie is not serving seniors, she loves to be outside on or in the water or spending time with her fur babies, Marley and Athena.
