Meet Jennifer Bandler
Executive Director – The Retreat at Berryville
Jennifer M. Bandler comes to The Retreat at Berryville with over twelve years of experience in the healthcare field, with almost six years of those as an executive director. While originally from Connecticut, her life as an army brat has allowed her to travel to many different countries, as well as most of the east coast. She is the daughter of a nurse, which is where she begin her “career” in senior care, assisting with activities at a young age. Being around the seniors at her mother’s nursing home, as well as her own grandparents, Jennifer was learning first hand of amazing life stories and experiences this population had to share. She received her BS in Biology from Loyola College of Maryland and MBA from Mount St. Mary’s University, and quickly found herself back in the healthcare environment, truly finding her passion when she became an Assisted Living Facility Administrator for the state of Virginia. She has worked in both Virginia and West Virginia as an Executive Director bringing her passion to not only the residents, but the families and associates. She lives in Harpers Ferry, WV with her two amazing high school aged boys, Zachary and Matthew.

My sister and I viewed several communities, but when we toured the Retreat at Berryville there was no question it was the right place. The way it is laid out, the size of the rooms and the open and cheerful environment really helped us to make the decision.

The Retreat at Berryville is a nice community. The staff are friendly, the community is clean, the care is great and the food is good.
– Kimberly M.
They clearly have a superior facility and staff compared to the other communities in the area in my opinion.
– Steven M.
We have already recommended this community to two different friends. It is the cleanest and friendliest place in the area by far and the prices are pretty good. They also do a great job with hiring quality staff well.
– Edward H.
I would tell friends and family that it is engaging for the residents. I even see the memory care sometimes, because my mom is in assisted living. They keep those folks engaged and active and I think their overall attitude towards keeping the residents engaged and happy is great. They do a really great job.
– Susan R.
I like that it is bright and cheerful, it seems more like a hotel type environment rather than an institution. Everyone we come into contact with is top notch and we are very satisfied.
– Bonnie T.
It is a great place to have my mother and there is so much one on one which I appreciate. The staff went out of their way to get my mother a group of people to play bridge with which I thought was so intentional and I really appreciate that. The staff keeps me in the loop and always will call me if my mom needs to talk which is a nice personal touch as well. It is a great place and I am satisfied.
– Beth C.
I would definitely recommend The Retreat at Berryville. If you need their services, it is good place to be.
– Jorn S.
This is the best community in the area with a great price. They are the most friendly and the community is very nice.
