All of us at The Retreat at Gaffney recognize that aging and memory loss can affect everyone differently. Meet Shelly Smith, Executive Director

Shelly has over twenty years of experience in the senior living industry with a degree in Administration. After taking a short two-year break in the banking industry, Shelley returned to the senior living industry, which felt more at home to her. After having worked in several areas of the business, Shelly has a compassion for the senior population and loves to build teams that have that same compassion while also building important relationships with them. She feels that seniors are an endless history lesson that everyone can learn from. Making just one resident or associate smile everyday makes her heart smile!

Shelly has three children, two granddaughters, and is an avid Clemson fan. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with family, friends, and crafting.
