Meet Josh Rochester, Executive Director
Josh, a Georgia native who was raised in Dalton joins The Phoenix at Union Hill as the Executive Director with 13 plus years in senior living. Prior to joining Phoenix he was an Executive Director for 10 years and then stepped into a multi-state Regional Operations role.
When asked what drew him into the senior industry, Josh shares “Like many others, my interest can be tracked back to the relationship that I had with my grandparents. From an early age, I used to visit nursing homes with my grandmother and spent many summer weekends with my grandparents and their senior friends camping in the mountains of eastern Tennessee. I believe those relationships I built as a child made an impact and helped me to have a true respect for seniors and each of their individual stories.”
Josh states he was led to Phoenix Senior Living because of its southern roots and because of the founder, Jesse Marinko’s vision for the company and industry at large. Having worked with both large and smaller companies, he prefers to work with a company that is smaller in size and bigger in heart when it comes to caring for its employees and residents.
Josh has two children, Brock 14 and Madison 15. In his free time, he can usually be found either in the Crossfit box or on the lake. He stays busy attending his kid’s events with them involved in football, cheer, and dance. It’s also important for Josh to share that he is a die-hard Georgia Bulldog fan. “Go Dawgs!”
Josh’s favorite quote is, “Always touch a person’s heart before you ask him for a hand” John C. Maxwell.

The PSL Canoe Story
Phoenix Senior Living’s CEO, Jesse Marinko, has witnessed first-hand the overwhelming and beneficial effects that intergenerational activities can provide for both the emotional and spiritual well-being of seniors. Jesse saw the loving connection strengthen between his son and Grandpa Joe as they hand-crafted a canoe, and realized that amazing things happen when projects are done hand-in-hand with love and passion. Today, the canoe symbolizes our love and care dedicated to every relationship shared at Phoenix Senior Living. Please watch the following video to learn more…
