It is a New Year at Phoenix Senior Living

2017 is here and throughout the world, it is a time where people often reflect and re-examine their lives and make New Year’s resolutions to live happier, healthier, and better lives in the new year.  Regardless of your age, you look back on the year you are leaving behind and focus on the future. Although New Year’s resolutions have a reputation for being short-lived, it is still important to set goals to strive for improvement in one way or the other. I do believe once you stop trying to better yourself and stop being open to learning, you are done in so many ways.

For Phoenix Senior Living, we will never stop learning and evolving. I continue to be proud of the Phoenix teams in our communities that serve our residents and their families. They understand “when it comes to your loved one, everything matters” and you can quickly see – it matters to our Phoenix teams. With that said, we will always strive for better. For us as we quickly move into 2017, I want our teams to continue to focus on strengthening our partnerships with our families and working diligently to provide constant and respectful communications.

This commitment to communications throughout our organization includes our residents our families and our associates. I personally see communications as a solution, it should not be an issue.  We are people serving people and successful, enduring relationships require people talk consistently and effectively. However, I also know good communication is not just about dialogue it begins with listening and genuinely caring about what we are listening to. For Phoenix, Senior Living, it is about continuing to breathe life into our belief “When it comes to your loved one, everything matters” and it matters to us. Actions speak louder than words and we understand that.

We will never take the trust of our residents, their families, and our associates for granted. It is no doubt that communication plays a vital role in human life and relationships. It not only helps to facilitate the process of sharing information and knowledge, but also helps people develop trusting relationships with others. Communication is the key to the process and without a commitment to effective and consistent communication skills, it is difficult to properly develop and foster the trusting relationships that our organization prides itself on.

A Happy New Year to all and we will be listening and talking with you!
